Types of Casement

Traditional Casement

The window slightly overlaps the frame to provide extra protection against the elements. Casement windows have historically been the most commonly installed style and whilst suited to all house types they are particularly suited to older homes where decorative bars may feature.

Flush Casement

Flush casement windows sit flat within the frame creating a smooth surface without any overlap. With the advances in modern technology, flush casement windows are now just as resilient to the elements and as such are quickly becoming the most popular choice due to their elegant and clean style. Flush casement is generally seen in modern homes with the exception of timber flush casement that is seen in both traditional and modern homes.
